ABOUT THE REVIEWERS CIRCLE

Our Mission:

To provide honest, civil, and objective reviews of each individual production in the Great Lakes Bay Area.

To judge the merits of the performance based on the script chosen, the actors’ individual performances, the designers’ specific choices, and the director’s effective unification of those elements to create a  cohesive and compelling production.

To take ownership of our writing, expressing our sincere and impartial analysis as if the other person is "in the room."  This applies equally to warm compliments and constructive criticism alike.  Pains will be taken to respond to choices, not personality.

To do the above while bearing in mind the aspirations and limitations of the non-profit, largely volunteer, community theatres found in the region.

To foster a spirit of involvement with and sustainment of a greater  community of theatre artists, audiences, and educators of this region.
